If you want to learn more about the most natural way of making bread this is the course for you.

 

Also if you are interested in the various aspects of bread making and never had the time to approach sourdough or thought you needed life changing commitment this course will educate and challenge past perceptions.

 

This course is aimed at bread making novices and near beginners and chefs or cooks who wish to broaden their knowledge or apply the principles either at home or in a commercial environment.

 

Your will learn

 

the theory and some of the science behind sourdoughs How to start and maintain your own starter The timescales involved and how they fit with busy schedules Managing your fermentation What can go wrong and what do you do when it does Additions to your basic sourdough loaf

 

Tea/coffee/juice or water on arrival, morning break, lunch & afternoon tea will be provided

 

You will take away:

 

Hopefully an enlightened view and an ambition to make sourdough breads, a jar of Artisan Foodworks starter to set you on your way and the breads you have baked.

 Numbers are limited to 8 places and the course fee is £115 including VAT and all course materials.

Cancellations within 28 days of the course are non-refundable, but you may transfer the booking to a friend if you are unable to attend. We will refund 50% of the course fee if you cancel your booking more than 28 days prior to the course date.

 

Transfers to another date/course are possible providing the change is requested at least 28 days prior to the original course date, this will be subject to availability. An administration charge of £30 plus any additonal charge for the relevant course will be made for any transfer.
