Looking to make traditional pies and learn how to be successful in making savoury pastries? This course offers a full day of practical sessions and demonstrations to give you the skills to make high quality savoury pies in your own kitchen.

 

 

The course is a full day course and we aim to:

 

 

Show you how to make different types of pastry to compliment your pies by just using basic ingredients and the best available raw materials.

 

 

You will make the following pies and pastry:

 

Individual Hand Raised Pork Pie (using the Artisan Foodworks recipe). Using the best local pork and a hot water crust pastry

 

Cheese and onion pie with puff pastry that you will nurture through the day!

 

Spanakopita, which is a Greek spinach and cheese pie made with a filo pastry

 

A demonstration on how to make Flamiche, an onion and bacon flan that will be freshly baked for lunch.

 

 

Tips on how to create the perfect pastry every time and create and bake perfect pies with your own hands

 

 

Our courses are interactive and include all course materials, refreshments on arrival and throughout the day and lunch.You take away all of the pies you have made not to mention a new skill.
