We support the Real Bread Campaign guaranteeing that our slow fermented artisan breads use only natural ingredients, without additives or processing aids found in "mass-produced" breads.
Not only is seasonality important to us, but we also strive to use the freshest local ingredients. This includes West Lancashire Flour along with various other ingredients in the production of our preserves, confectionery items and biscuits. All of these items are available through our online shop, retail outlet, wholesale and through the local and workplace communities.
Education and training are key to the understanding of our production methods. This is why we offer a range of small and interactive courses including "The Mysteries of Sourdough", European Breads Classes, Croissant, Danish Pastries and Sticky Buns Classes.
With over 60 years of combined experience within food manufacturing, hospitality, catering management and strategic business management we understand the importance of food safety and quality. We are members of Safe and Local Supplier Approval (SALSA) assuring you of the highest production standards.
We provide consultancy services and have recently delivered the concept, design, installation management and commissioning of The Bakery at The Atkinson Centre on Lord Street, Southport. and Merlins Bakery Café, Merlin Park, Burscough.
